Business Intelligence /SAP Business Warehouse Process Support Analyst (Permanent)

Role Purpose:
• The Group Data Warehouse (DWH) Initiative will provide an SAP BI platform with cross-divisional standard information for FRA (Financial Reporting and Analysis), BPA (Business Planning and Analysis) and Procurement in order to satisfy existing and future business needs.
• The purpose of this role is to implement, troubleshoot and maintain a quality service for applications within the Group DWH and related to it, delivering accurate, reliable and timely information to address the needs of the function and its users.
• The Pharma Service Delivery Group (SDG) is the Global IT organization responsible for the provisioning of support services and quality to the Group Data Warehouse. This role is to provide SAP BI support within the organization, dedicated to Group DWH. The role has a Business Analyst dimension, ensuring a strong understanding of the business processes within the Group function.
Key accountabilities
• Provide dedicated operational support, service quality, application optimization & maintenance to the Group DWH.
• Cover all required activities to guarantee successful Group Business reporting operations: issue resolution, answer questions, access management, continuous training, user workshops, best practice sharing.
• Manage the end to end support for the Group Reporting and Data management processes. Provide flexibility for structure changes and build-in reconciliation and validation processes to guarantee data integrity.
• Support and test in line with the controls framework
• Ensure smooth transition of Group projects into operations mode.
• Conduct feasibility and impact assessments for process changes and new applications.
• Liaise with customer groups and dedicated other IT functions to optimise user support. Ensure close collaboration with appropriate system owners and key stakeholders in business.
• Collaborate with BI Solution Architects within the Pharma SDG Organisation ensuring the optimization of tools and technology within the environment.
• Liaise with BI Architects within the Pharma SDG Organisation ensuring adherence to architecture standards as defined in the Global BI Strategy.
• Manage changes in adherence to the BI Governance Strategy and maintain relevant documentation based on the application/business expertise.
Minimum requirements Education:
University degree or equivalent
Languages:
English – fluent spoken and written.
Further languages preferred
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in Business and IT, knowledge of Novartis Group business function and cross-divisional knowledge an advantage.
Strong functional knowledge in Financial reporting and/or Procurement.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Detailed knowledge of Novartis IT strategy & architecture standards.
At least 3-5 years experience in BI application support and reporting processes.
At least 3-5 years of SAP BI experience, experience with other BI tools is a plus (SAP Business Objects, Cognos TM1).
