To rapidly develop our growing pipeline of products we are looking for an experienced professional in the area of applied statistics in the pharmaceutical development. In this challenging position, you’ll play a vital role as a statistical consultant in the development of dosage forms and the transfer to production.
We’ll rely on you to support the achievement of robust formulations and processes as well as the introduction of quality by designs (QbD) principles.
Also, you will be involved in supporting the analysis of stability data in order to obtain product shelf life, estimation of variability of analytical methods and calibration problems, estimation of processes probability of batches successfully passing specifications utilizing variance component methodology, etc.
The position holder will also calculate in vitro/in vivo correlations, where mechanistic mathematical models are developed to predict the in vivo performance of a drug product based on its dissolution characteristics.

Minimum requirements
To be successful, you will need a degree in statistics/mathematics or equivalent experience and a proven experience of at least 5 years of applied statistics preferably in a pharmaceutical environment. Experience in the design of experiments (DoE) and its analysis is crucial. Familiarity with the statistical aspects of formulation and analytical chemistry, experience in using SAS or JMP and in data mining and Monte Carlo simulations are a plus. Experience utlizing DOE in an engineering, food, or other industry could be considered with a willingness to quickly learn the basics of pharmaceutical formulation, and analytical chemistry.
We expect that you will be an interdisciplinary thinker with a high interest in collaborating with other functions and teams willingness to learn appropriate new statistical techniques and apply them properly from a rigorous mathematical standpoint. A fluent command of English as a business language is required. Any additional language is advantageous.
