CDM Programmer

JOB PURPOSE
Provide programming support for clinical data management. Develop and maintain a variety of in-house developed standardized and study-specific CDM utilities (using SAS, PL/SQL and web technologies) that are used for all global Vaccines Development clinical trials, Phases I to IV, to perform data loading, data tracking, complex data checking, and support working processes. Develop documentation and support validation for CDM programs. Suggest innovative solutions and develop new programs to support and improve CDM processes. Additionally, act as backup clinical systems administrator.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist in the Clinical Data Management (CDM ) activities for several protocols and CDM projects. In particular:
- Develop and maintain programs (SAS, SQL, Intranet pages) to support the CDM department.
- Provide training and support to CDM programs
- Provide programming support for ad-hoc questions
- Develop and maintain documentation for CDM programs
- Support validation of CDM programs
- Maintain strong working relations with colleagues in global BCDM
- Provide professional programming input for new program or program enhancement requests
- Backup Clinical Systems Administrator
Minimum requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Desirable degrees:
A degree from a University or HBO (equivalent to Bachelors or Master degree) in an exact Science or a Technological area (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering) with 3 years of relevant working experience.
Languages:
Dutch and English, excellent spoken and written
Experience:
Typically, at least 3 years of relevant working experience in SAS programming, preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
Possess the following knowledge/experience:
- Good computer skills
- Sound knowledge of SAS and SQL
- Knowledge of HTML/Javascript
- Accuracy and sense of detail
- Good communication skills
- Problem solving capabilities
- Ability to set and meet timelines
