JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining global Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse applications. The job will involve implementing new projects/enhancements, supporting existing applications and also function as an internal BI consultant to the business. The BI/DW group is global in nature; hence ability to work in a global team is essential.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

1.Relevant work experience with SAP BI 7.x, Business Objects,

• Strong functional skills in Finance (Prior roles as a SAP R/3 FI/CO functional consultant or other ERP/financial system implementation or as a Business user)
• Implementation of at least 3 life cycle projects in SAP BI or BO.
• Good understanding of data modeling /data architecture is essential.
• Ability to independently lead the IT work stream of BI projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with the business.

• Expertise in some of the new BI tools is essential (SAP BI – business explorer, query designer,

web application designer, BO- Web Intelligence, Widgets, dashboard builder, Xcelsius , ETL tools- Data Integrator, Federator).
• Knowledge of Performance management tools /SAP Integrated Planning /Business planning and consolidation would be a big plus.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

The primary BI/DW platform is SAP BI 7.1 (includes Integrated Planning/ BI Portal). The Business Objects (BO) suite of products (R 3.2) is being increasingly used as the front end for reporting.

• Participate in BI projects in the capacity of Lead, Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert.
• Design, build and document BI/DW solutions.
• Data modeling and performance optimization.
• Maintain/support existing BI/DW applications.
• Work with end users – including User Support and Training.
• Establish procedures to improve the BI/DW governance.

• Follow all compliance requirements in terms of training, documentation, and change control as defined by department/company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors in Engineering, MBA or Charted Accountant
• 8 years IT experience in implementing B I solutions
• Relevant work experience with SAP BI 7.x, Business Objects,

• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of German and/or Italian is highly desired.
