full time IT Project/Program Manager

Job Description

  • Manages complex multisite projects/programs from design and development to deployment.
  • Effectively manages project resources (time, resources and budget)
  • Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones.
  • Leads and oversees project team
  • Performs team assessments and evaluations.
  • Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.
  • Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services.
  • Reports project status and issues where help is needed to the Steering Committee.
  • Ensures compliance to the Novartis ICE methodology and GxP where applicable.

Minimum requirements

  • University education and >8 years of business and IT experience in an international environment
  • Track record of successfully deployed global IT projects with complete project management responsibility and accountability for the projects and programs in the pharmaceutical industry (GxP, SOX)
  • Successfully managed projects having a high impact on the 6 change dimensions (process, organization, location, data, application and technology)
  • Expert Knowledge of project management, Business Process Re-Engineering, software lifecycle management methodologies, internal IT standards and financial processes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage large geographically or functionally dispersed teams
  • Capability to think strategically and to handle organizational change
  • Fluent in English
  • Good knowledge of QA/QC Business Processes and IT Solutions.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial and able to create effective relationships with persons from diverse backgrounds
