Your Responsibilities:
As the new Senior Ruby Developer you will be part of the energetic and motivated DirectLife Software Development team. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and integration of features of the DirectLife Web Application Software.
Your key activities will be:
- Build, improve and maintain the Directlife Web Application .
- Work closely with Consumer Marketing Management to understand the requirements for the project,
- Make user scenarios, designs and implementation matching these requirements.
- Support Scrum master with effort estimations and planning.
- Transparently report progress and impediments.
- Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards.
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role you will need to have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and over 4 years experience as a Software Engineer. This should be in combination with an expert experience in the Ruby on Rails framework. You are actively monitoring the latest developments in the Ruby community. Merb, Cucumber, Git are all known concepts to you. Also, you will need strong knowledge of front-end development with AJAX, Javascript, CSS, HTML, XML and SOAP.
Furthermore, as a person you would suit this role when you have:
